If you love wildlife and want to be part of a Bolivia’s first Big Cat and wildlife survey in Agricultural lands then please HELP US with this special wildlife project.
We are currently starting a Camera trap Sponsorship Program where we are aiming to study Agricultural regions in Bolivia and the goal is to prove that animals threatened with extinction can survive and adapt in Agricultural Regions if certain measures are implemented.
We have seen this first hand in our newest wildlife watching destination JAGUARLAND RESERVE BOLIVIA where we have over a 95 percent success rate of observing Jaguars, Tapirs, Ocelots, Marsh Deer, Sloth and more.
We are pushing changes to Agro properties such as leaving a percentage of land forested, stopping workers hunting on the properties, ensuring Canal systems are implemented and deforestation restrictions around lakes, rivers and streams.
We will be surveying Soya, Rice, Cattle and Sugar cane regions in the coming year and results will be used to lobby the Agro Industry and the Government for more sustainable changes. We are also hoping to convince more Agricultural areas to convert parts of properties to Eco tourism as well, so some big plans ahead. We now have two very large properties covering over 80km2 that are partnering with us so we strongly believe we can make a huge difference.
Up to 10 million hectares of the most pristine parts of Bolivia is in the process of being approved for major Agricultural expansion so if in the least we can restrict the damage it will go a long way to ensuring wildlife like Tapirs, Jaguars, Bush Dogs and Marsh Deer don’t go extinct in Bolivia.
To help us cover the costs of these studies ie transportation, batteries Sim cards, fuel and camera maintenance we are doing a Camera trap Sponsorship where for a small donation supporters can help us cover fees and in return we send all images/videos from the cameras.
