SAJAMA – UYUNI ULTIMATE LANDSCAPE AND CULTURE TOUR

DAY 2 SAJAMA – UYUNI

Early breakfast and we visit some amazing volcanic geyers, here marvel at some of the most incredible views in all of Bolivia. We say good bye to Sajama and head on route via Oruro to our final destination of Uyuni, along the way looking out for Andean wildlife such as Andean Foxes Rheas and Vicunas. Overnight in Uyuni. DAY 3: UYUNI SALT FLATS

Breakfast and we depart towards the famous train cemetery, here we learn about the history of the first railway and trains of Bolivia. Next we visit the small population of Colchani to learn about the extraction and and processing of Salt, here is an opportunity to purchase some crafts made of salt. We continue on route and we enter the immense Uyuni Salt flats, this mind blowing landscape has to been seen to be believed. We see the eyes of the Salt flats and if in the right season will have time to make spectacular reflection photos. We drive deeper though the immense Uyuni Salt flats stopping at the island of Incahuasi or Cactus Island, here we marvel at the world’s largest cactus, we have time to explore this island before stopping on the Salt Flats to make funny pictures. Overnight in a superior hotel to enjoy the magical sunset of this region. B, L and Dinner included

Day 4: UYUNI SALT FLATS- EDUARDO AVAROA NATIONAL PARK

Breakfast and we visit the town of Chuvica and the lookout of Sora. We then visit the village of Alota where we have lunch, after lunch we drive though the amazing valley of rocks, something which has to be seen to be believed and you also visit different lagoons of the desert of Siloli. We explore the amazing landscapes, deserts and flora and fauna of Eduardo Avaroa National Park and on route to the Laguna Colorada we stop at the iconic Arbol de Piedra. Overnight in the best hotel available. B, L and Dinner included.

Day 5: EDUARDO AVAROA NATIONAL PARK – UYUNI

Early breakfast and we have a peak time visit to Lagunas colores, Laguna Colorado and Laguna Verde. These lakes offer spectacular landscape photography as well as the chance to observe unique Andean flora and fauna like flamingos, Andean foxes, Vicunas and the strange rabbit like Viscacha’s. After the lagoons we have time to bathe in the thermal pool of Polques before returning to the town of Uyuni.

END OF TOUR * Optional flight back to La Paz.
